Meet Alozo Moore
In the mid-’80s, I was an aspiring rap artist, writing everything from gangsta rap to freaky tales. I mirrored legends like Too Short and Ice Cube, artists who, at the time, felt like they were telling my life story. With a foundation in journalistic writing from East Saint Louis High School and a passion for raw storytelling, I honed my craft, blending reality with rhythm. But the rap game never turned into a career for me. Instead, I survived through street hustles, everything from selling dope to pimping. Now, years later, I’m picking up my pen again, but this time, I don’t have to make it rhyme. I’m free to tell my truth, to stretch my imagination, and to bring these stories to life. For over 40 years, I lived this game. Now, I’m putting it on these pages. This isn’t just a collection of stories, it’s knowledge, experience, and a world most only hear about. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
P.S. My family has urged me to write my autobiography, but I’ve chosen to tell my story my way. These tales are a mix of real life and creative fire, designed to entertain while keeping it raw. I call it PIMP FORMATION, a smooth blend of truth and imagination. Many of these stories were written while I sat in prison, waiting for my release. Now, I share them with you. Let your mind be free and ride with me, beyond jail cells and prison walls, into a world of adventure, danger, and suspense.
